No More Excuses: Vlog 26 – Take Care of Your Mental Health

I’m sharing something with you very few people know. I have a therapist. And I go to him on a regular basis because I get to unload everything I’m dealing with. It’s imperative for my mental health, and since it’s National Minority Mental Health Month, I’m challenging you to take steps to take care of your mental health, too. Share in the comments what you’re doing or plan to do. It may help someone else.

No More Excuses is a vlog series by Carol Winston, senior operations and engagement advisor at the Black Women’s Health Imperative. After being diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension late last year, she has declared 2016 the year to get healthy and she’s bringing us along for the journey. She’s sharing her story in hopes it encourages others to get rid of all their excuses and live their best life. Share your stories or cheer Carol on at nomoreexcuses@bwhi.org , or on social media using #NoMoreExcuses16. And be sure to follow her on Twitter @nmebwhi.
