Our mission at the Black Women’s Health Imperative is not just work for me. It’s personal. Let me explain.
Like many Black women, I haven’t put myself or my health first. Now, I’m paying the price and the payment is diabetes and hypertension. But no more! This is my year of No More Excuses! I’m determined to get healthy and I’m bringing you along for the journey.
At least once a week, starting today, I will share my video diary with you. You’ll see my ups and downs, my workouts and meals, but most importantly, you’ll witness my journey to health from the inside out. It’s going to be a blast!
Check out my first video and please, share it with your friends.
I hope my journey will help someone else, so share your story with me at email@example.com or post them on social media using #NoMoreExcuses16.
No More Excuses is a vlog series by Carol Winston, special assistant to the president and chief executive officer at the Black Women’s Health Imperative. After being diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension late last year, she has declared 2016 the year to get healthy and she’s bringing us along for the journey. She’s sharing her story in hopes it encourages others to get rid of all their excuses and live their best life. Share your stories or cheer Carol on at firstname.lastname@example.org or on social media using #NoMoreExcuses16.
