Position Overview:
Reporting to the EVP, Enterprise Operations, the Operations Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business operations to identify inefficiencies, solve problems, and recommend process improvements. This role requires a data-driven approach, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to enhance workflow and productivity within the organization. The Operations Analyst will participate in a variety of projects, programs, and BWHI initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute strategic business objectives.

Additionally, this role will play a key part in ensuring that operational efficiencies align with BWHI’s mission and strategic goals, directly contributing to the organization’s ability to advocate, educate, and amplify the voices of Black women and girls nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to business operations, including financial reports, program performance, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and develop solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs, with a focus on maximizing organizational impact.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze operational challenges and implement strategic solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and insights to management and relevant stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with departments such as finance, programs, and development to optimize workflows and foster seamless coordination.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process changes and provide insights on continuous improvements.
  • Statistical Modeling: Apply statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns that inform decision-making and program effectiveness.
  • Process Design: Develop and implement new operational processes to improve efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Provide training and support to staff on new systems, policies, and operational procedures to build internal expertise.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative-level support to internal clients on a variety of projects, programs, and business initiatives. Serve as a central point of contact for all business processes across the department.
  • Financial Operations Support: Manage financial processes such as budgeting, procurement, invoice coding and approval, and expense reconciliation, ensuring financial transparency.
  • Project Coordination: Facilitate the coordination of project management, metrics, and operations across departments in close collaboration with team members and department leads.

Required Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of work experience.
  • Experience managing Google Drive file structures.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Experience with monday.com for or other workflow management software/applications.
  • Familiarity with DocuSign and document workflow automation.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Experience working in a non-profit environment 

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $65,000 – $70,000 annually. The actual salary for the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
