This year marked the beginning of the 38th year of the Black Women’s Health Imperative. We continue to be the number one source for health and wellness for Black women. During this year, with your generous support we have been able to reach thousands more women through our programs and campaigns targeting the issues that matter to us. The launch of the online TV show “Black and Well” became a beacon for Black women who were looking for answers to help them navigate the pandemic. From managing children’s education to reproductive health during COVID-19, we provided facts. The Black Women’s Health Imperative continued throughout the year to create panels and summits that brought Black women of all ages and walks of life together to understand all that was at stake for us. Through these efforts, we learned that OUR VOTE COUNTS and that policy matters to our health. In addition to that, we highlighted the importance of science and the role of a Black woman pivotal to the creation of the vaccine that will save millions from COVID.
Black women are everywhere, and Black women are important. The BWHI team worked tirelessly in 2020 to make sure that we were listening to you and providing you with the resources you need to stay healthy; mentally, and physically. The health and wellness of Black women must be protected, and we plan to continue these efforts in 2021. Join us this year, we welcome your support as we continue to grow.
