The Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) is hiring for a newly created role, Fair Work Development and Sales Director. For almost 40 years, the Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) has been one of the leading national organizations dedicated solely to improving the health and wellness of Black women physically, emotionally, and financially. We advance and promote Black women’s health through three focus areas: Wellness Programs, Policy and Advocacy, and Research Translation. We target the most pressing health issues that affect Black women and girls in the U.S. through investments in evidence-based strategies, programs, and advocacy outreach on health policies. Fair Work™, a BWHI initiative, addresses workplace health, culture, policies, and practices and enables organizations to create efficient, transformative, and fair workplaces that decrease risk, increase revenue, and improve efficiency, all while improving health outcomes. The Development Department works to secure philanthropic revenue to support BWHI from individuals, corporations, foundations, and the government, via direct mail, email, grant proposals, 1:1 solicitation, and third-party fundraising. BWHI has grown tremendously in recent years, and our organizational budget for 2023 is $18M. The Development Department is driven by three core tenets: 1) We are service-oriented. 2) We are data-driven. 3) We go bold for Black women.
