Join us for A Cultural Conversation: Healthcare, Humanity and Voting, the third installment in a series of cultural conversations hosted by the Black Women’s Health Imperative to address social and environmental justice issues in the context of health and diseases impacting Black Americans. This conversation will feature:

  • Linda Goler Blount, MPH, President & CEO, Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI)
  • Eboni K. Williams, Attorney and Television Host
  • Tamika Mallory, Civil Rights Activist and Seasoned Community Organizer
  • Curtis Granderson, Former MLB Outfielder and President of the Player’s Alliance
  • Candace Parker, Professional Basketball Player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA
  • Yodit Tewolde, Nationally Renowned Criminal Defense Attorney and Legal Analyst
  • Waikinya Clanton, Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Tom Perez

The discussion will focus on health inequities and human rights concerns that diverse communities face and the speakers’ commitments to educating, engaging and mobilizing communities of color to vote.  With the conversation taking place less than one week before the election, the conversation will explore health disparities and human rights concerns that diverse communities face, especially black Americans, with the goal of driving voters to the polls.
